Letter from a High School Student: Black Light
I sat through a “talk-back” after the play “Black Light” put on by my high school drama department. Unfortunately, the audience reaction was predictable and I wasn’t surprised, only disheartened. The next day, however, when the play was discussed in my drama class, I was called a racist for objecting to what I deem reverse racism and glorifying someone like Malcolm X.
